Theatre 1 - Students will perform their improv scenes that they created and praticed yesterday. They will be graded on the basics of acting - facing out, not breaking character, gesturing with the correct hand, and having eye contact with their fellow actors. 

Theatre 2 - Students will take notes on the ten tips for acting shakespeare. They will then receieve their shakespeare packet and identify by acting out and writing, the different in languauge between the harsh words and the love words and experiment how they can be manipulated.

Theatre 1 - Students will take notes on the arc of a story and be able to explain exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. Then, studentds divided up into groups of 3-4 people and created an "Improvization scene" outline. They have today to pratice it and we will watching them in the classroom over the next two days. They will be graded on the following basics of acting - facing out, gesturing with the correct hand, eye contact with fellow actors on stage, and not breaking character.

Theatre 2 - Students will have the day to finish writing their blocking and set diagrams, Checks will be at the begining of class tomorrow. First memory test on Thursday! Second one next Tuesday.

Theatre 1 - Today we learned what breaking character means. We played the game, "Won't you give me a smile" to help pratice this concept. We also played "I'm Peter Pan" as a warm up and reminder of basic acting concepts.

Theatre Classes - Today we spent the day watching the first part of Next to Normal. There was a worksheet you had to do that is attached. If you go to youtube you can type in "Next to normal" and find different versions. Any of them will work. Print a copy and fill out the worksheet and bring it back for points. We won't be finishing it in class - if you want to finish it come see our production or better yet - audition!

Honors Choir - Today we listened to the rogers and hammerstein melody and the grease melody. We need to start learning the Grease medley for Be Me Night which is on the 18th. 

Concert Choir - Today we clapped rhythms and worked on correct mouth position when singing. We started to divide up into our sections for the rogers and hammerstein melody that we listened to in choir today.

Happy first day back! Today in all of my classes we took a look at the Syllabus for each class. We went over rules, expectations, and classroom and theatre etiquette.
